December 19, 2009: Judges 10-12

Judges 10 Tola, Jair, Jepthah
Judges 11 Jepthah
Judges 12 Jephthah and Ephraim, Izban, Elon and Abdon

Judges 10:11, 12, “The Lord replied, ‘When the Egyptians, the Amorites, the Ammonites, the Philistines, the Sidonians, the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you and you cried to me for help, did I not save you from their hands?’ ”

Two things impressed me in these verses: 1) If I cry out to God, he will save me, 2) He has saved me many times before.

We should all keep a journal of answered prayer, miracles God gives us and mountains he has helped us climb.

One battle that comes to my mind was when we purchased our house. It was a former staff house of my church. They were building a new church and needed to sell it. It was on the market and empty for three years.

We were pregnant and the house we rented was old an difficult to heat. We needed a warm home for our expected baby.

It took ten months of prayer by the whole church before we were able to close on the sale. We have lived her for 24 years!

What verse impressed you today? Please share it in the comments!
