Babysteps – Day 96

Psalms 46:11, “The Lord Almighty is with us, the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

Jacob’s name meant deceiver. Twice he deceived: once his brother and once his father.

Jacob was not perfect. No one is.

What a comfort that the God, who is with me and who protects me, is the God of the imperfect. He’s the God of sinners. He is always drawing them to him.

Jacob met God in a personal way and he was changed. God changed his name to Israel. Yet, here he’s the God of the former man, Jacob.

Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

What verse impressed you?
