June 25, 2013

The headache hit with the hail-producing thunderstorm yesterday. It kept me up for a few hours in the middle of the night and was still here this morning. I hope it breaks when the storm system moves on and the sun comes out this afternoon.

As I lay back down, with a sinus mask and a face slathered in Vicks, I remembered this verse.

Colossians 3:3, “For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.”

I’m middle aged and I can’t believe how quickly my life has passed. I know at the end of my life this day will only be a blink. This is not my “real” life. It has yet to begin.
