Today is my birthday and I’m grounded. Even though I’m taking a round of Prednisone the doctor ordered me to stay inside until harvest is over.
So tell me; how will I know when harvest is over?
My family, on the other hand has an exciting day planned that will end in “Welcome to Hell.” My youngest is playing a demon and my husband already warned me to be prepared because they shaved his head. (Sorry, I’ve seen him act like a demon before. I’m not scared!)
I laughed when I read my devotional….
“I, the Creator of the universe, am the most creative Being imaginable. I will not leave you circling in deeply rutted paths. Instead, I will lead you along fresh trails of adventure, revealing to you things you did not know.” Jesus is Calling by Sarah Young
I’m grounded. What adventures can I have?
Then I read today’s verse.
Exodus 25:11, “You shall overlay the ark with pure gold, inside and out, and make a gold crown, a rim or border, around its top.”
That reminded me of the three shadow boxes that I bought at Hillary Fairchild’s garage sale years ago. They were painted gold inside and out. I put David’s football awards and letter in one and used another one for all Derek’s awards and letters. I never got around to making mine.
The empty shadow box is still on a basement shelf with a box marked “Pamela” next to it. I’m going to get out that dusty box and travel back to 1979.
I may have an adventure after all!
