Present. Active. Imperative.

After learning about the Hebrew-Greek codes, I was curious about what other verses had the code “PAM” in them.

Matthew:

6:19, “Do not lay up treasures on earth…”

6:25, “Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on.”

6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

7:1, “Judge not, that you be not judged.”

7:7, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

7:15, “Beware of false prophets…”

7:23, “…Depart from me you workers of lawlessness.”

These are the things that are present, active and imperative:

  • Don’t lay up treasures.
  • Don’t be anxious for your life.
  • Seek first the kingdom of God.
  • Don’t judge.
  • Ask, seek, knock.
  • Beware of false prophets.
  • Know Jesus.
