Ezekiel 40:45, 46, “And he said to me, ‘This chamber that faces south is for the priests who have charge of the temple, and the chamber that faces north is for the priests who have charge of the altar…'” ESV
Sunday, our senior pastor introduced a lay minister who would be in charge of visiting the sick and praying for them. He replaced Pastor Tom who stepped down due to his health.
I’m grateful for Pastor Tom.
When I became housebound, I felt forgotten. God led my husband to FCOC and one day I got a call from Pastor Tom. I hadn’t even visited the church. He called me every few months to check on me and let me know he was believing God would heal me.
It didn’t bother me that the senior pastor never called. Each pastor, or lay minister, in the church has a job. In Ezekiel there were priests in charge of the temple and priests in charge of the altar. The high priest didn’t take care of either.
I’m told a woman was in the hospital and she was upset that the senior pastor did not come and visit her. (I’m sure that made the assistant pastor, who did come, feel great.)
It’s the same God in each person!
My breakthrough did not come after the senior pastor prayed for me. It came after a man, who attends church, saw my allergy mask and asked if he could pray for me.
God is in both of them!
