“Olivia is coming for lunch and she’s bringing…a baby!”
Her mom has a new baby in her home daycare and she will be coming with them. It has been 4 years since we’ve had a baby in this house. God knew that baby would be here today.
11-25-2015: “Imagine a one-year-old who looks at you…shyly at first, tilting his head away and looking out of the corner of his eye. You do the same…He turns his face to look directly at you. You mirror the turn. Then there’s a sudden noise behind him, and he looks startled – you mirror his surprised look…he’s getting ready to cry, so you shift to a smile. He does the same and is soon gurgling with joy…And prayer works like that too…’…the Lord make his face shine upon you…turn his face toward you and give you peace,’ (Numbers 6:24-26).” http://www.facebook.com/TheWordForYouTodayUSA/
God had been directing the Israelites all through their 40 year journey.
Deuteronomy 1: 1-3, 6, 7, “These are the words…It is eleven day’s journey…In the fortieth year…You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go…” ESV
God instructed them: not to be intimidated by anyone, (1:17); do not fear, do not be dismayed, (1:21); do not be in dread or afraid of them, (1:29).
He reminded them that:
- He goes before them, 1:30.
- He will fight for them just as he did in Egypt and in the wilderness, 1:30.
- He carries them, as a man carries his son all the way, 1:30.
- He sought out a place to pitch their tents, 1:33.
- He led in fire by night and in the cloud by day, to show the way, 1:33.
- They lacked nothing, 2:7.
I thank you that I do not need to be intimidated, because you will put dread and fear on the people who shall hear the report of you, (Deuteronomy 2:25). I can do all that You command through Christ who strengthens me, (Philippians 4:13).
