During the Most Difficult Time

In his sermon yesterday, Pastor Monty Knudsen said:

“God makes the impossible possible.”

He chose a teenage virgin to become the mother of his son!

Genesis 18:14,  “Is anything to hard for the Lord?”

When he parted the Red Sea, he chose to do it during its flood stage, see Exodus 15:5, 8. He parted the Jordan River during its flood stage, too!

Joshua 4:15, 16, “As soon as those bearing the ark had come as far as the Jordan, and the feet of the priests bearing the ark were dipped in the brink of the water (now the Jordan overflows all its banks throughout the time of harvest), the waters coming down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far away, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan, and those flowing down toward the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho.” ESV

“The Lord did not stop the flow of the Jordan until the priests’ feet were actually in the water, requiring them to exercise their faith. The swollen condition of the Jordan River at that time of the year emphasizes the power of God on the Israelites behalf. The Jordan was in a deep valley, and so it did not spread out when it flooded. It merely went over its normal banks and further up the sides of the valley…” ESV Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible Notes

Dear Lord,

You can do the impossible during the most difficult of times. I know you can accomplish what you want in my life. I am willing to step into the water.
