There is a quote I’ve read that says:
“All a mother wants is for her children to love each other after she is gone.”
I am not leaving that to chance. Every day I pray:
- Ecclesiastes 4:12, that my children will be like a three-cord rope that cannot be quickly broken.
- Romans 2:10, that they be devoted to one another in love and honor one another above themselves.
- Acts 2:42, that they devote themselves to fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.
My children fight and squabble like everyone else’s kids. They all believe we each have a favorite and they are not it! Lol
I’m glad we are not royalty and that they would be fighting for a throne and a crown. In Bible times, it was not uncommon for a son to kill all of his brothers to get the crown, see 2 Kings 11:1, 2.
Judges 9:5, And he went to his father’s house at Ophrah and killed his brothers…” ESV
We dedicated each of our children and we know that they are in your hands. I am grateful that I do not have to worry about them because you hold them.
