Conception

Today we read of two women who became pregnant when it was impossible. Elizabeth was not only barren, she was old, (v. 7); and Mary was a virgin, (v. 27).

Yesterday we read that Boaz went in to Ruth, and the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son, Ruth 4:13.

Boaz was middle-aged and had probably given up on his dream to have children. Joseph was much older than Mary, possibly middle-aged. Yet, he was chosen to raise the Son of God.

You are never too old for God to birth something new in your life. And you should NEVER give up on the dream of having a child. Why?

Luke 3:7, “For nothing will be impossible with God!” ESV

Dear Lord,

Thank you for granting me conception three times. I pray for those who are still waiting for the impossible to happen. Please give them hope. The greatest hope came to this world on this very night! Thank you for sending the Lord Jesus Christ,

Amen
