Resolutions Now

I received my “2015 Year in Blogging” report today. I was surprised to see I had more visitors from Brazil than from Canada!

Tomorrow is the deadline for my final goal of 2015. I wanted to increase the number of my average daily visitors. I didn’t meet that goal.

It’s like the joke, “I want to lose 10 pounds this year…only 15 to go!”

I was reading about goals on the blog, A Holy Experience, and one goal she had stuck with me…

* Daily 3 for 10:

These 3 for 10 everyday: Word In. Work Out. Work Plan.
It’s not what you do every now and then, but what you do everyday, that changes everything.

Word in: Get into God’s Word for 10 minutes and let it get into you.
Work out: Work out. Even 10 minutes of moving is better than nothing.
Work plan: Write out the Work Plan — even just 3 things. And then just start: 10 minutes working the plan.

It inspired me to exercise. I decided to start today.

Today we read about Jesus calling Levi, (or Matthew), who wrote the first book of the New Testament, to follow him.

Mark 2:14, “And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, ‘Follow me.’ And he rose and followed him.” ESV

Levi left everything, see Luke 5:27, 28.

Jesus didn’t wait until he had called all of his disciples to start ministering and working miracles. Before calling Levi he:

  • Taught and preached.
  • Cast out demons.
  • Healed many.
  • Turned water into wine.
  • Cleansed the temple.
  • Traveled to Samaria, Cana, Galilee, etc.

A new year starts in two days. We don’t have to wait to work on our goals.

Word In. Work Out. Work Plan.
