In the last month, I’ve written 2 posts about taking ads off of my blogs: “Just Wait” on this blog, (see here), and “No Ads, No Pop-Ups, No Donations,” on frugalfish.org, (see here).

According to WordPress.com, they had 605 million bloggers this year. Every one of them would like to make money, or possibly, become famous.

As if that is the only goal!

There are still some of us who blog for the sake of writing. Part of our day is spent putting our thoughts down on paper.

God put the desire in my heart to write a Bible Reading Guide for my personal use. I call it the “Relevant” Bible Reading Guide. My friends started using it and encouraged me to share it online.

The same friends asked me to blog my money-saving ideas and that’s why I started frugalfish.org. In all of our discussions becoming famous was never the topic.

I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose here on earth and that is more important than becoming famous.

Jesus’ brothers wanted him to become famous. They even knew how he should do it.

John 7:4, “You can’t become famous if you hide like this! If you can do such wonderful things, show yourself to the world.” NLT

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the reminder to keep the main thing the main thing.
