My eyes welled up as I sent my husband off to spend the day with a bombshell blonde and a ravishing red-head. Seriously, these godly women are beautiful inside and out!
They are also my friends who are moving today and I was so disappointed that I couldn’t go. They had twenty other friends show up to help them…all stronger than me.
Instead, I stayed home and did dishes and laundry. After I finish this post, I will check on the experiment I’m doing for Tuesday’s post at frugalfish.org. It involves cleaning the oven.
Not fun at all.
The Devil whispered, “Why bother? You don’t have many followers, and you don’t even get comments like all of the other blogs.”
I ignored him and started my daily devotions.
“The Devil doesn’t want you to know that God’s favor is on your life…He will try to convince you that you have no purpose, power, or potential…No matter how limited your ability or lackluster your accomplishments, every blessing you’re enjoying today happened because the Lord is on your side…You’re blessed and favored – that’s why you’re a target.” http://www.facebook.com/TheWordForYouTodayUSA/
In the parable of the fig tree, the gardener didn’t give up, even after being disappointed for three years. He gave it special attention and plenty of fertilizer.
Luke 13:6, “Then Jesus told this story. ‘A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed.'” NLT
I need a gardener who is fluent in HTML! (Lol) As for missing out on helping my friends move…they were finished before noon!
Thank you for the phrase in the song, “Nothing Ever Could Separate Us,” that says, “No prison around me could keep You outside.”
