3.3.16

“Love is not sex.”

“Love is not prom.”

Love is when she hasn’t showered for two days, because of surgery, and you tell her that she is beautiful.

Love is sleeping on a bench that is so narrow that you cannot lie on your back.

Love is running your fingers through her hair which is matted and tangled from two days in bed.

Love is packing a bag and returning to that narrow bench for another night because a fever forces her to stay another day in the hospital.

Love is taking care of her when she cannot take care of herself.

Song of Solomon 1:6, “…so I couldn’t care for myself…” NLT

I am loved.

Dear Father God,

Thank you for sending Jesus to take my place when I was helpless. Thank you for David who took care of me when I was helpless.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
