3.4.16

They started pushing me through the door in a wheelchair, when I asked,

“Where’s the baby?”

The nurse looked confused.

I explained, “Every time I went to the hospital, I was rewarded for enduring the pain with a baby!”

She laughed and was relieved that I was not hallucinating. Every mother knows there is great pain to be endured before a child is born.

Song of Solomon 8:5, “…I aroused you under the apple tree, where your mother gave you birth, where in great pain she delivered you.” NLT

While I did not come home with a baby, I will be rewarded. The surgeon said I would feel like a new woman.

I’m still waiting.

Dear Father God,

Thank you for giving me songs in the night. They brought great comfort as I endured the pain.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
