I called the doctor about the new antibiotic David had picked up. I didn’t recognize the name of the prescribing doctor. She was the doctor on call when I was released from the hospital. The two antibiotics I had taken would not kill the bacteria that appeared on my last blood test.

This antibiotic has to be taken an hour before eating and 2 hours after eating. I also have to take it twice as often. My life will revolve around these pills for 10 days.

We didn’t get around to eating supper until close to seven. David made ham sandwiches with ham cousin Danny dropped off. I remember a feeling of contentment as we sat togther, just the two of us, eating sandwiches and watching TV.

Proverbs 15:17, “A bowl of vegetables with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate.” NLT

Dear Father God,

It’s good to be home. Thank you for providing meals for us.

In Jesus Name,
