I kept coming back to these verses. I could think of many times when I did not have a clear conscience, but not one of them was worth sharing.

There have also been times when I was accused of something and later cleared…but not one sticks out. I do know that I claimed my innocence even when it looked like I did it.

Job 27:6, 7, “I will maintain my innocence without wavering. My conscience is clear for as long as I live. May my enemy be punished like the wicked, my adversary like those who do evil.” New Living Translation

A clear conscience is a thing of beauty.

Dear Father God,

I don’t know why you brought those verse to my attention; but help me to learn what I need to out of them. Remind me of them when someone maintains their innocence without wavering. Punish the wicked and clear the innocent.

In Jesus Name,
