How many times have we offered to pray for someone who is sick? Sometimes, we forget. Even when we remember, are we doing enough?
Peter showed us how.
Acts 3:7, 11, “Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened…They all rushed out in amazement to Solomon’s Colonnade, where the man was holding tightly to Peter and John.” New Living Translation
Peter laid his hands on him; helped him up; held on to him; and stood with him.
What do we stand on? The Word of God.
When we pray for the sick, we need to have a verse for them to stand on. We need to stand on that verse with them. My favorite verses are: Psalms 103:3; Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35, 10:1.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your Word. In it we see You heal all of the sick and all diseases. That covers everything. Father, I pray for two special ladies that are recovering from surgery. I pray you will knit them back together and restore their strength.
In Jesus Name,
