One page of my prayer list is for babies. For my 5 friends who are pregnant, I pray 2 Kings 2:21 – “no deaths or miscarriages.” There are 28 names on the “Answered” column and I look forward to adding 5 more.
There are four couples on my list that I am praying to conceive, using these verses:
- 2 Kings 2:21 – no barrenness.
- Exodus 23:26 – no infertility.
- Genesis 21:1 – Lord, keep your word.
- Ruth 4:13 – Enable the wives to get pregnant.
After Mary, who conceived Jesus by the Holy Ghost, the most miraculous conception was Isaac.
Hebrews 11:11, “It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.” New Living Translation
Abraham was 100. Sarah was 90 and barren. God miraculously gave them Isaac.
You would think the miracle baby would have no problem having a family…but he did. Isaac’s wife did not conceive until after Isaac laid hands on her and prayed for her, see Genesis 25:21. She only became pregnant once, but she had twins, Esau and Jacob!
God still works miracles. One couple waited and prayed for two or three years before they adopted their son from Korea. He’s been in their home for over a year and…surprise…Mom is pregnant with a baby sister!
Luke 1:36, 37, “…People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived…For nothing is impossible with God.” New Living Translation
Dear Father God,
Once again, I thank you for the babies:
I pray that they all grow to love and serve you.
In Jesus Name,
