“When I read this verse, I got a little scared.”

1 Corinthians 9:12, “…We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ.” New Living Translation

“What am I going to have to put up with today?”

When I got to church, I was asked to set up further back from the screen. I laughed; because I would be happy to set up between the side curtains!

I practiced the song for the altar call and my pedal kept cutting out. Sometimes, it would sustain, sometimes not. Instead of putting up with it, I sent David home to get the pedal off of our keyboard. (I need a pedal!)

Maybe things didn’t bother me because I made up my mind to “put up” with anything, to further the telling of the Good News.

Dear Father God,

Thank You for coming to church today. Thank You for the reminder that “You are good,” and “You’re never gonna let me down.” Thank You for putting up with me.

In Jesus Name,
