During the greeting time at church yesterday, I had 2 ladies tell me they enjoyed listening to me play. They both said they wished that they could play.
I am a part of the church that is visible, but I am not important. In fact, I’m not even necessary. We could worship at church without my playing. The band would function just fine without me.
Who is necessary?
Those who pray for the service.
1 Corinthians 12:22, “In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.” New Living Translation
I do plan on continuing to play for worship. God gave me this gift and I will use it for Him. But, I realize, I am just one part of His body.
Dear Father God,
I am thankful for everyone who uses their gifts at church. I am especially grateful for the prayer partners. Without them, nothing would happen! I pray that you will encourage those who use their gifts behind the scenes…especially the children’s workers.
In Jesus Name,
