“Every day it’s the same.”
I get up; wash & fill the water pitcher; eat breakfast; clean up the kitchen; remove clutter; deep clean in one room; exercise; clean up; get dressed; do laundry; read devotions; practice piano; write 2 posts; and do that day’s job (clean house, grocery list, book work, mend, or iron).
After supper, I defrost meat for the next day’s meal and lay out clothes to wear tomorrow. The next day, I get up and do it all again. It seems so useless…
…but it’s not.
1 Corinthians 15:58, “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” New Living Translation
When I give my day to God and work enthusiastically, it becomes a joy. Yesterday, I cleaned out 2 lower kitchen cupboards.
My routine is teaching me discipline, patience, and perseverance. Those qualities will serve me well on the next job God has assigned for me.
Dear Father God,
Thank You for the reminder that I am in training for my real job – the one You have designed for me when I reach heaven. I give this day to You. Bless me as I clean the pantry. I pray that Your anointing will be heavy as I play for the service tonight.
In Jesus Name,
