Faith Conference starts on Sunday and I am so excited!!!
I am also saddened. It makes me sad when people say they will not attend all the meetings.
You see, I attended my first Faith Conference in 2011. I was housebound. I had to take a pretty high dose of Prednisone to attend at all. It was the year I was in the house 104 consecutive days. (I didn’t even go into the garage.)
But, God put faith in my heart and I started taking small steps. I couldn’t be around crowds. I started sneaking into church and sitting on the floor in the balcony. By the time Faith Conference rolled around again, I was attending church, sitting in a regular seat, and I got to play one night at the conference! Each year I improve and am able to do more.
We take our freedoms for granted until they are gone. There is no guarantee that we will be able to have a Faith Conference next year.
What if this was the last Faith Conference?
I thought of the conference when I read the account of Paul preaching all night. He knew it was the last time he would see them. When he met with the Ephesian elders, he told them he would not see them again.
Acts 20:38, “They were sad most of all because he had said that they would never see him again…” New Living Translation
I encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to get together with other believers. If not for yourself, then do it for the Christians around the world who have to meet in secret.
Dear Father God,
Thank You for giving us the opportunity to hear faith-filled messages that build us up. Thank You for using the speakers to help us tackle the mountains in our lives. I pray for Your presence to be especially heavy in the services.
In Jesus Name,
