My sister called today and asked me to pray for Randy. He had a football-sized tumor removed and they didn’t give him much hope. We have been praying for him for weeks.
“That all changed!”
Today they are installing a port to start chemotherapy. We prayed together and I gave her the verses I use when I pray for the sick, Psalms 103:3; Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35; Matthew 10:1.
Over and over, the Bible says, Jesus healed all of them. I thought it was because Jesus was the one praying for them. I was wrong.
Acts 28:9, “Then all the other sick people on the island came and were healed.” New Living Translation
Paul prayed for those who were sick when he was on the island of Malta. When we pray, we believe Jesus heals all sicknesses and diseases. We can give hope to the hopeless.
Dear Father God,
Thank You for making Randy strong enough to undergo this surgery. I pray that the medications the doctors use kills every last cancer cell. I pray that you will restore damaged organs and give strength to him.
In Jesus Name,
