“Martin Luther said studying the Bible was like picking apples. First you shake the trunk, then you shake the limb, then you shake the branch, then you shake the twig, then you look under every leaf.” Meyer, “New Day, New You”
Today I have two verses:
My prayer for you,
Colossians 2:2, “I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.” New Living Translation
Please pray for me…
Ephesians 6:19, “And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.” New Living Translation
The mysterious plan was for Christ to come to earth, be beaten to spill his blood, die on the cross, and then be resurrected. Before, they killed lambs and their blood paid the price for sins. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God. He willingly came to earth, knowing he would be tortured and endure a horrific death, and let his blood cover our sins.
Dear Father God,
Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for giving us the Bible which is full of mysteries. Give us the words to explain your mysterious plan to others.
In Jesus Name,
