Awhile

I wrote yesterday’s post in the morning, but didn’t publish it for two reasons: 1) I didn’t want to panic the rest of the worship team, and 2) I was hoping for a happy ending. I didn’t get it. I woke up this morning with infection in both eyes! Luckily, David picked up the prescription after church. My plan to keep my head down and avoid people worked. No one noticed my eye.

In the King James Bible, many chapters start with the phrase, “It came to pass.” It came, but it won’t last forever.

1 Peter 5:10, “In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” New Living Translation

This “suffering” is nothing compared to the suffering Jesus Christ endured for me. I am looking forward to His restoration!

Dear Father God,

Forgive me for being mad at You. I know You could have prevented this trial, but You allowed it, and I know it will be for my good. Thank You for medication and a clear schedule. I am grateful that I don’t have to worry about being around others while I am contagious today.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
