“I like a challenge!”
I like taking on projects that take years to complete. That is why I saved my kids t-shirts from Little League, Camps, Concerts, etc. I cut the decorated portions into rectangles and made a quilt out of them.
I embroidered all the signatures because I didn’t want them lost as they faded. I finished my oldest sons in 2009. I have embroidered on the quilt squares for my daughter ever since.
At the turn of the century, I started a project that may take the rest of my life to complete. I read a verse, or two, in the New International Version Study Bible and look up all the cross references. I read the notes, look up unfamiliar words, and find towns on the map.
Today I studied Psalms 104:5, “He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.” New International Version Study Bible
The earth, (land), can never be moved! I serve a God who established the earth on the waters, Psalms 24:1, 2. It is firm and secure, Psalms 93:1. He suspends the earth over nothing, Job 26:7!
God is God over all the earth – land and water. Jesus walked on the Sea of Galilee, (see Matthew 14:25). When Peter realized it was the Lord, he walked on water, (see Matthew 14:22-33). And when God sends an angel in Revelation, he stands with one foot on the water!
Revelation 10:2, “He stood with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.” New Living Translation
I am firm and secure because the God who holds me in His hand is the One Who established the earth on water, suspended over nothing!
Dear Father God,
Thank You for the reminder that You created this earth and it is firm and secure. Thank You for the reminder that You have authority over the law of gravity. Thank You for this beautiful earth. Help me to remember this when I feel fear.
In Jesus Name,
