One page of my prayer list is for loved ones who have fallen away from their commitment to God. I stand on: 1) Acts 10:31, “He believed and was saved, along with his whole household,” and 2) Proverbs 22:6, “Train a child in the way they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from it.”
I learned to pray like that from my mother. She prayed for my sister for over 3 decades! I get to see my sister every Sunday at church. I know God answered Mom’s prayer, and He will answer mine. I pray for the children of my friends and for the friends of my children. One day, they will all return.
Isaiah 49:18, “Look around you and see, for all your children will come back to you. As surely as I live,” says the Lord, “they will be like jewels or bridal ornaments for you to display.” New Living Translation
Dear Father God,
Thank You for the reminder that you have our children in the palm of your hand. I look forward to the day when they return. Until that day, help me keep the faith.
In Jesus Name,
