Primping

There were boxes and donations for Goodwill all over the dining room. I finally got them all boxed up and David delivered them Friday.

I have also been clearing the floor of the pantry. I put the odds and ends of wood behind the furnace and Derek’s chest of drawers.

When Derek got home, I made a sweeping motion with my arm, and said, “Notice anything?”

“The boxes and stuff are gone,” he stated.

“And…look at this,” I said, as I pointed to the floor of the pantry.

“Whoa!” he exclaimed, “Where did you put all that stuff?”

“In your room.”

(Actually, I just set some boxes on top of the boxes he put in the storage room.)

***************

I woke up to puffy eyes and mild hives. Maybe it is a delayed reaction to sweeping the floor of the pantry. (I haven’t seen that floor for many months…or a year.)

I decided to use a green eye pencil, because green cancels red. Right? It didn’t work.

Jeremiah 4:30, “Why do you brighten your eyes with mascara? Your primping will do you no good!…” New Living Translation

I should have read my Bible before dressing. I would have known the makeup wouldn’t help…not today.

Dear Father God,

Thank You for being my Healer. I am not surprised that the hives chose today to show up, because we have a nursing home service this afternoon. I stand on Acts 28:9; Psalms 103:3; Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35, 10:1. Thank You in advance for healing me.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
