Fair-Minded

David hurt my feelings last night. I was still mad when I started devotions. That never works.

He sent me a text apologizing. I ignored it. When I read today’s verse, I stopped on one phrase.

Jeremiah 22:2, 3, “Listen to this message from the Lord, you king of Judah, sitting on David’s throne. Let your attendants and your people listen, too. This is what the Lord says: Be fair-minded and just. Do what is right! Help those who have been robbed; rescue them from their oppressors. Quit your evil deeds! Do not mistreat foreigners, orphans, and widows. Stop murdering the innocent.” New Living Translation

Fair-minded and just.

I had to send a text accepting his apology. It was the right thing to do.

Dear Father God,

Forgive me for staying angry. I know he didn’t deliberately hurt my feelings. Help me to let go of it.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
