Last night, I embroidered the last letter, on the last name, on the last quilt square for my daughter’s tee-shirt quilt. She had so many childhood friends and so many signatures on her tee-shirts that it took me 7 years to embroider them!

When I read today’s verse, I realized God wanted fine needlework in his Tabernacle.

Exodus 26:1, “Make the Tabernacle from ten curtains of finely woven linen. Decorate the curtains with blue, purple, and scarlet thread and with skillful embroidered cherubim.” New Living Translation

God requested some of the same processes used in quilting:

  1. Joining pieces together, v. 3.
  2. Using loops of yarn to tie them together, v. 4.
  3. Matching the sides, v. 5.
  4. Making it one continuous piece, v. 6.

Dear Father God,

I am so relieved to finally have all of her quilt squares embroidered. Thank You for the reminder that quality needlework is important. Help me to find value in every task you give me.

In Jesus Name,
