“I would do anything for my kids!”

How many parents left right after Thanksgiving dinner to go “Black Friday” shopping for a gift for their kids.?

How about getting up in the middle of the night Thursday to get a “Black Friday” deal?

Yet, they cannot get up on Sunday to get to a 10:30 am Church service?

I have nothing against shopping, in fact, I snagged a few cool deals yesterday. But, are the things I bought what my children and grandchildren need most?

Deuteronomy 5:29, “Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever.” New Living Translation

It takes three things from me for my descendants to prosper:

  1. A heart after God.
  2. A fear of (reverence for) God.
  3. Obeying all His commandments.

That is the best Christmas gift I can give.

Dear Father God,

You blessed us above and beyond with deals this weekend. Thank You! Thank You for the service this morning. I am grateful we can worship freely. Be with those who cannot.

In Jesus Name,
