My Chromebook is sitting in a container of rice. It is a perfect metaphor for my weekend. Half the members of our worship band are saying, “Goodbye.”
When the sound technician at the Civic Center heard he said, “I might as well go work at the Credit Union.”
Two members thought they were retiring, but after hearing that original song, I realize they are just shifting to another focus. One is transferring to the home church and I expect our favorite redhead will fire up the ministries she is stepping into there.
The fourth is the hardest and most exciting. She is moving to another state and I look forward to the release of their second CD. The only problem is, “WHAM” is no more.
The remaining 4 are valiant musicians, and other musicians are waiting in the wings, but our hearts are hurting. Please God, touch our hearts.
1 Samuel 10:26, “Saul also went home to Gibeah. And there went with him a band of valiant men whose hearts God had touched.” Modern English Version
Dear Father God,
I can’t wait for heaven when I will play with all the musicians I have had to say “Goodbye” to over the years. I know You have a plan and I choose to trust You.
In Jesus Name,
