There are two ways to build wealth: (1) Increase your income, or (2) Decrease your spending. The first option is popular but doesn’t work. Why? Our spending increases with our income increase.
We don’t want to decrease our spending. We want it all and we want it now! One of our largest expenses is food. After all, we have to eat. But we don’t have to eat out!
Cooking at home is healthier, and if you grow your own food, it’s organic, cheaper, and tastier. You can’t eat money.
“Inge’s mother rode a bike to her brother’s farm in the country before dawn each day in search of food, because (German) soldiers would take all the food in town.”

2 King’s 6:25, “There was a great famine in Samaria, and they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.” Modern English Version
“Eighty shekels of silver. About 2 pounds, or 920 grams. One-fourth of a kab. Likely about 1/4 pound, or 100 grams. Five shekels of silver. About 2 ounces, or 58 grams.” Modern English Version Bible Notes
Silver cost $236.76 a pound, or .63 per gram, on July 4, 2016, see here. During the famine, a donkey’s head sold for $473.52 and 1/4 pound of bird poop sold for $36.54! During hard times, famine or war, it doesn’t matter how much money you have when there is no food to buy.
