I moved out of my office in May when our nephew came to visit. I’ve balanced my Chromebook on a lap desk on the couch ever since.
Part of it is because of my frugal nature. I can sit on the couch as the sun rises and see to read and write. I have to turn on the lamp in my office because a tree shades the window.
I miss the “L-shaped desk” I used at work. There was plenty of writing space and plenty of stacking space. 😀 I’ve tried to create a workspace like that desk unsuccessfully.
My computer desk has a full size lower level that rolls out when I need it but I would love to have a large area to my left. The chest of drawers and TV tray are not cutting it! 
I considered using the dresser behind me as a credenza and then had an idea! Could I switch the dresser and chest of drawers? I measured the dresser. The dresser top was level with the windowsill and the inset mirror would only cover the woodwork of the window by a few inches.
If I put the dresser there, I could move the chest of drawers to the closet…and the bookshelf would fit next to the closet door…and there would be room for a day bed! My mind was whirling with possibilities when I opened my Bible.
Colossians 3:1, “If you then be risen with Christ, desire those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth.” Modern English Version
Does that mean I am not supposed to rearrange my office?
“So if you are serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, be alert to what is going on around Christ – that’s where the action is. See things from His perspective.” The Message

If I never thought about food and made a grocery list, we would run out of food. I am to make the best use of everything God has given us. Sometimes, we have to think about earthly things but we must think of heavenly things, too.
I wonder, “What will my job in heaven be?”
