The headlines scream the disasters over the last week. When the waters recede and the fires are out, the wasted land will be all that is left. The refugees may return to find everything gone. But it is still their land.
When the Hebrew refugees returned to Jerusalem, they stated the land was theirs. But they spoke with an ungodly attitude.
Jeremiah 33:24, “Son of Man, those who inherited these wastes in the land of Israel are saying, ‘Abraham was one, yet he inherited the land. But to us who are many, the land has been given for an inheritance.’ ” Modern English Version

We need to approach God humbly and with repentance as we ask Him to heal our land.
