Water from the Sanctuary

Although determined to take that first step, the day did not go smoothly. It was 8 p.m. before I finished. There definitely was a battle.

I was wound up. I wrote for a while and worked on a frugalfish.org project. At 11 p.m. I took Benadryl for allergies and to help me sleep. I woke up at 3 a.m.

Why?

I got up and wrote for a half an hour. Then I read until I started feeling drowsy. Amazingly, I woke up at 5:45 a.m.

I studied Psalms 139:2-4.

Psalms 139:2, 3, “You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.” New International Version

“My thoughts. Those that pertain to my wishes, desires and/or plans.” New International Version Study Bible Notes

God knows my wishes, desires, and plans. I know His plan is better. This verse was in the cross references.

Psalms 94:11, “The Lord knows all human plans; he knows that they are futile.” New International Version

Yesterday, I gathered together toiletries to send with Stewart D. who is leaving today for Houston. He will be mucking out homes by removing drywall, carpeting, and flooring with #8DaysofHope “Rapid Response.”

I pray for his safety and that God will give him Favor. I also pray for those living in Florida and the east coast who are preparing for Hurricane Irma.

Reading today’s verse reminded me of the flooding in Joel Osteen’s church.

Ezekiel 47:12, “By the river upon its banks, on this side and on that side, shall grow all kinds of trees for food, whose leaf shall not fade nor shall its fruit fail. They shall bring forth fruit according to their months, because their water issues out of the sanctuary. And their fruit shall be for food and their leaves for medicine.” Modern English Version

All of the instructions were given to Ezekiel in the 25th year of his captivity, (see Ezekiel 40:1). So, to the victims of the disasters I say, be faithful to your church. The waters of life flow from it. Make plans, draw out the home you are going to rebuild. Give those plans to God. We will continue to ask God to meet your needs.
