Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day. I want to thank those who served and those currently serving. They put their lives on the line to keep America free to worship God and conduct business anywhere in the world.

The shortest war in history was the “6-Day War” between Israel and Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. In May 1967 Egypt (then called the United Arab Republic) announced they would close the Straits of Tiran to Israeli ships. They could not move products and goods from the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. It cut them off from all commerce to the south.
Then Egypt mobilized its forces along its border with Israel. They closed the Straits of Tiran before and Israel had a guarantee they would remain open. They warned Egypt that closing them would mean war.
On June 5, Israel launched preëmptive airstrikes against Egyptian air-fields. Egypt induced Syria and Jordan to attack Israel. Their counterattacks resulted in the seizure of East Jerusalem and the West Bank from the Jordans, and the Golan Heights from Syria.
On June 11, they signed a ceasefire. Fewer than 1,000 Israelis died compared to over 20,000 Arab forces. How?
“God was fighting for them!”
Leviticus 26:8, “Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.” Modern English Version
