Easter Sunday began at 3:30 a.m. The Sunday before that was packed with a Nursing Home Service and a Bible Study. It was 2 busy weeks and no Sabbath rest.
I got up Monday ready to go back to work. I started laundry – and that was the only job I finished. Six loads later, I was ready to crawl between my freshly washed sheets! I had a Sabbath rest forced on me by exhaustion. I went to bed early and slept 10 hours.
After Jesus’ resurrection, the disciples went back to work – fishing. Jesus met them on the shore.
John 21:10, 11, “Jesus said, ‘Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught.’ Simon Peter joined them and pulled the net to shore – 153 big fish! And even with all those fish, the net didn’t rip.” The Message

“Each number in the Hebrew language is assigned to a word. The number seven means ‘complete.’ God created the heaven and earth in seven days. It was complete.
It is significant that the Bible states there were 153 fish. To a Jew, that reads,
‘1 – I,
5 – Am,
3 – God!’.”
Pastor Monte Knudsen, Easter Sunday, 4-1-18
God knows best. I needed a Sabbath rest.
