So, life isn’t going the way we expected. Now what? Do we go or do we stay? We are at a crossroads, which way do we turn?

“I just need to walk through the woods to clear my head.”

“I need an afternoon on a beach watching the waves come in.”

Or, like Peter, “I need to go fishing!”

“God Loves to Talk to Boys When They’re Fishin'”

Why do we crave time alone in nature? Because God speaks through nature.

Romans 1:20, “By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can’t see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being.” The Message

How are we sure of the right decision? Our gut tells us. We are either in turmoil or feel a restful peace. God’s directions are clear.

Psalms 19:7-9, “The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. (8) The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy. The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes. (9) God’s reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee. The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree.” The Message

God even answers atheists!

Job 33:14, “God always answers, one way or another, even when people don’t recognize His presence.” The Message

How?

Job 33:15, 16, “In a dream, for instance, a vision at night, when men and women are deep in sleep, fast asleep in their beds – (16) God opens their ears and impresses them with warnings.” The Message

We must look for answers expectantly.
