This morning I explained to David that I did not want to move the bookshelf. It’s over 9 feet long and heavy. After he heard that, he asked me to show him what I had in mind.
He was pleasantly surprised to see a cleared room. In a few minutes, he took the table apart and helped me move the heavy top pieces aside. We moved the empty buffet.
Then he went to the bi-fold door, pushed down 2 hidden springs and slid it out of its tracks.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I exclaimed.
The love seat effortlessly slid through the doorway. He went to work and I remembered my verse for today.
Leviticus 6:11, “Then change clothes and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.” The Message
I changed clothes.
Back in the basement, I vacuumed rugs and the floor underneath. Then I rearranged the rugs to cover most of the area. I brought in an extra rug.
Using duct tape, I taped the rugs together on the underside. I was able to move the furniture myself when it didn’t catch on the rugs.
The room is arranged and waiting for the table top. That is something I cannot do alone.
There is one more dresser I want to use in that room. I think I will take the drawers downstairs.
But first – I have to change clothes again.
Are you doing anything in your dining room to get ready for the holidays?
