He Doesn’t Scrimp with His Traveling Companions

April 29, 2019: 2 Kings 18; Psalms 84; Isaiah 10.

I spent the day with Mom. She needed to review her insurance and wanted another set of ears. There is so much information. My sister accompanied her before and it was my turn.

After taking the Dave Ramsey class, I wanted to be sure she was protected. The insurance agent gave his recommendations. On the way home, I shared Dave Ramsey‘s recommendations. We discussed her options.

She wanted to buy me lunch and we headed to Bubba Q’s. We started with a salad the size I normally eat as a meal! Then came the three ribs, macaroni and cheese, and Texas Toast. I ate 1 rib, a couple bites of mac and cheese, and the toast. I took the rest home and ate it for another meal. Mom sure didn’t scrimp on lunch!

Psalms 84:11-12, “All sunshine and sovereign is God, generous in gifts and glory. (12) He doesn’t scrimp with His traveling companions. It’s smooth sailing all the way with God-of-the-Angel-Armies.” The Message
