Some Will Break into Song

May 5, 2019: Isaiah 23-26.

A year ago we said goodbye to Bill, our bass player. I spoke with his widow to let her know we remembered. During the altar call, I played the last song Bill played with us. It was bittersweet.

“It’s Your breath in our lungs and we pour out our praise…”

We go to church to lay our burdens down. We find comfort and strength in songs of worship.

Isaiah 24:14, “But there are some who will break into glad songs….” The Message

He Wanted to Test His Heart

May 4, 2019: Isaiah 39; 2 Chronicles 32; Psalms 116; Isaiah 21.

2 Chronicles 32:31, “But when the rulers of Babylon sent emissaries to find out about the sign from God that had taken place earlier; God left him on his own to see what he would do; he wanted to test his heart.” The Message

The hardest part of a test is the teacher is silent.
