May 8, 2019: Isaiah 47-49.
David got up at 5 am to paint the wall that I caulked. The change was dramatic. The formerly blue, foam insulation and 1970’s yellow wall are now white. He called me to see it.
Later, I noticed white paint on the carpet in the office. After I exercised, I saw a splotch on the throw rug in the living room. When I cleaned the house, there was another splotch in the living room. And there was a sliver of paint on the kitchen and bathroom rugs, too.
I used rubbing alcohol to clean the spots out of the rugs. I took my shoes off to clean up and realized – there was paint on my shoes! The evidence was all around and I missed it!
Isaiah 48:8, 18, “You have all this evidence confirmed by your own eyes and ears. Shouldn’t you be talking about it? And that was just the beginning. I have a lot more to tell you things you never knew existed. (18) If you had listened all along to what I told you, your life would have flowed full like a river, blessings rolling in like waves from the sea.” The Message
Dear Lord, help me to listen to what you are trying to tell me!
