June 18, 2019: Hebrews 11, 12.

Hebrews 11:1, “The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living.” The Message

Faith makes life worth living.

Hebrews 11:25, “He chose a hard life with God’s people, rather than an opportunistic soft life…” The Message

Blogging without ads is not easy!

Hebrews 12:1, 2, “…It means we had better get on with it. Strip down, start running – and never quit! … (2) Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed – that exhilarating finish in and with God – He could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. …” The Message

Learning to put up with anything is an area I need to work on. (Sigh.)

Hebrews 12:4, “In this all-out match against sin, others have suffered far worse than you, to say nothing of what Jesus went through – all that bloodshed! So, don’t feel sorry for yourself.” The Message

No self-pity – another area!
