Let Them Go with A Smile

June 17, 2019: Hebrews 9, 10.

I woke up in a Benadryl fog. My depth perception is way off. I tried putting on mascara and swept the wand over my eyeball.

After breakfast, I was putting food on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator and whacked my head on the freezer handle – twice! The second time, I had to put an ice pack on the bump!

I kept going over a conversation from yesterday.

“Hey, we should set up the canopy.”

“We can’t.”

“Why not?”

“I got rid of it.”

What! I couldn’t believe it. It just disappeared like the volleyball poles and net and the soccer goal. When I bought those, I planned on using them with my future grandchildren and now I find they are just gone!

Hebrews 10:34, “…If some enemies broke in and seized your goods, you let them go with a smile, knowing they couldn’t touch your real treasure.” The Message

Obviously, I’m not there yet. (Sigh.)

Later, he said he wasn’t sure where it was. It’s probably in the shed – in plain sight.
