All Comforts Provided

“Are you getting out at all?” the doctor asked.

“Yes, a few hours 3 times a week for church.”

“I’m glad,” he replied, “I know how important your faith is to you. Going to church is medically necessary.”

We talked about precautions to use when going out for extended times. I told him I went out every day when my brother from Virginia visited. The result? A sinus headache for a week.

“I look normal – but stay at home most of the time.”

“Yes,” the doctor agreed, “but I saw you at your worst. I’m glad everything is under control.”

He was talking about 2008 when I became totally housebound. I was reacting horribly and couldn’t leave the house without Prednisone. (I still haven’t completed the projects I planned that year.)

When God leads me to a desert place, He provides for my safety and comfort. He gave me everything I need to survive.

Revelation 12:6, “The woman herself escaped to the desert to a place of safety prepared by God, all comforts provided her for 1,260 days.” The Message
