Sloppy Work is Cursed

I just need to slow down.

I pushed the “snow cone” syrup dispenser too quickly. It sprayed up the teenager’s arm. The next teen was wary. He backed up. The syrup completely missed the cup, sprayed the table and pooled on the floor. I had 3 messes to clean up.

It was “Snow Cone” night at E3. And that wasn’t the only mess I made.

I cut packets of marinara sauce and put them in dispensers. The funnel was not allowing it to flow through. I lifted it a bit to let air escape. The sauce slid down the tube.

But I had too much in the funnel. It splattered on my shirt. I didn’t notice it until I was getting ready for bed.

I bagged up the extra popcorn. There was more this week than usual. The popcorn machine seemed cleaner. Why? I forgot to salt the popcorn!

Jeremiah 48:10, “Sloppy work in God’s name is cursed…” The Message

I have one more week of my commitment to work in the E3 cafe…unless they fire me first!

Proverbs 21:2, “We justify our actions by appearances; God examines our motives.” The Message

Why am I working in the cafe?

August 21, 2019: Ezekiel 32; Jeremiah 48.
