Your Father Sees in Secret

The hives around my mouth are gone. I ate cheesy potatoes, drank an inch of chocolate milk, and had “Blueberry Cheesecake” – twice! I think I can rule out dairy allergies.

(Please, God, don’t let me be allergic to chocolate!)

Shrimp caused a major flare a few weeks ago. I also reacted to perch and flounder. I don’t believe I am allergic to all fish. We used to eat a lot of tilapia.

“…Fishermen in Israel favored the Sea of Galilee because they could harvest different kinds of fish there. Three varieties were particularly plentiful: a small fish that resembled a sardine, tilapia (or musht, otherwise known as St. Peter’s fish), and carp. Although fishermen on the Sea of Galilee caught catfish and eels, they normally discarded them because Jewish people did not eat them. …”

Matthew 6:4, & 18, “…And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

Secrets

There are no secrets from God. He sees everything. He hears everything. He knows everything…even where the fish are! Remember what we read on December 30th?

Luke 5:4-6, “When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.’ 5) ‘Master,’ Simon replied, ‘we’ve worked hard all night long and caught nothing. But if you say so, I’ll let down the nets.’ 6) When they did this, they caught a great number of fish, and their nets began to tear.”

And from Proverbs

Proverbs 2:1, 9, “My child, will you treasure my wisdom? Then, and only then, will you acquire it. And only if you accept my advice and hide it within will you succeed. 9) Then you will discover all that is just, proper, and fair, and be empowered to make right decisions as you walk into your destiny.”

A Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the reminder that you see what is in my heart.

Show me which fish to eat.

In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Amen
