I woke up to mucus in my eyes again. The mirror revealed a black scab where my mouth had split open and dry, red hives around my mouth and eyes.
I ate a banana muffin, took my meds, and soaked my face with cool washcloths.
Then I googled treatment for hives around the eyes. At the “American Association of Dermatology Academy,” aad.org, I read those with latex allergies should avoid bananas. I ate a homemade banana muffin four days in a row!
They also warned against red dye. I took Allegra 180 for years. I checked the bottle. It has red dye. I won’t go back to Allegra.
I called the pharmacist to see if I could take a Claritin with the antihistamine I am currently on. I was relieved when he said yes. (I would have to wait 8 hours before taking a Benadryl.)
Yesterday, Rick B. mentioned sugar as a culprit. I drank a cup of black coffee with my dry Cheerios.
“The blessing is greater than a miracle. …Blessings keep us out of crisis. …Miracles are for unbelievers and new Christians.”
“Life Beyond Miracles,” in a sermon by John Tasch on June 12, 2020
I wanted a miracle; I got a blessing. Had God completely healed the hives yesterday, I would not know to avoid bananas.

A Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for revealing two more things to avoid. I pray the results from the food allergy test will come soon.
In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Amen.
